little one
About a year ago a local scrapbook store went out of business. While they were clearing out their inventory I snatched up as many of these pre-printed cards as I could! I have a good stash and pull them out every once in a while. I love the color of this card. “Little one” is already printed on the card, so the only way to kick it up is by adding embellishments.
I stamped this cute prince chicklet from justjohanna on WW. I then colored him in with Prismacolors, punched him out, then set aside. Next I used my Cuttlebug to punch out the slide from a transparency. Hopefully the shot at the end of this post helps to give you a better look at the slide. I then matted the chicklet on Old Olive and used my scallop scissors to cut it out. The focal image was adhered to the clear slide and a page pebble was added over the chicklet. I love page pebbles!
I had this beautiful May Arts ribbon from StarLitStudio in my stash and it matched wonderfully! I wrapped it around the card, threaded it thru the slide and used the brads to pinch the ribbon. I then used my white gel pen to add some polka dots to the brads.

What a cute card and so many clever ideas. Love the transparency slider and using brads to pinch the ribbon – wow – would have never thought of that! need to file these ideas away.
What a wonderful idea with the clear transparency. I will have to try that someday. Very clever!!!
