You know I love the Chicklets! I just had to make a Mother’s Day card with this one in her cute bonnet! All images from justjohanna.

For this card I used a color combo that I feel is so “Spring,” but I haven’t used it in such a long time! The card base is Mellow Moss, paper is cut at 4 1/4 and scored at 5 1/2 for this top folding card. Matt layer is Pretty in Pink.

For the focal image, I stamped bonnie chicklet right and four petal flower images in Palette Noir Black. Next I used my large SU! circle punch to punch out the images. I then used a fine tip black marker to draw the ground, grass, stems and leaves. I then colored the images in with my Prismacolors and set aside.

Next I cut the Mellow Moss matt for the focal image by using my Coluzzle. I then used my paper piercer and white gel pen to create the faux stitching around the image. Then I punched the scalloped circle with my Marvy Mega Scallop Circle Punch, pierced some holes and highlighted them with the white gel pen. The layers were then adhered together to form the focal image and set aside.

On the WW panel, I stamped “mom” using my justjohanna alphabet stamps. Don’t hate me! They are exclusive to the Design Team, and I’m finding that I love them so much! You could use any favorite alphabet stamps here. I then colored in the letters with Prismacolors and added the polka dots with my white gel pen. For a fun embellishment, I added three pink Primas with white mini brads below “mom”.

I then adhered the white panel to the Pretty in Pink matt and tied some sheer pink polka dot May Arts ribbon around them before adhering the whole panel to the Mellow Moss card base. The focal image was adhered with Dimensionals, and some bling was added to the flower centers. This card was the spin off of a Dad card that I did, which I’ll share later! I really like how you can create mini scenes with the Chicklets because of their size.
