perrin’s blue lion

For Perrin’s teacher, I used the same idea and measurements for her tin. I simply changed the images used to match the Valentines Perrin passed out.

Images from Wild About You by Stampin’ Up! Oval from A Muse.

Cardstock: Real Red, WW
Inks: Buckaroo Blue, Old Olive, Real Red, Basic Black.

I added a little bling to the flower center and used red twill tape that I picked up from Fabric Barn.

The tin came from Michaels and inside is a Bath and Body Works gift certificate for her, too.

And as an FYI, Denise mentioned this in the post below with the red giraffes in response to me wishing for more of these Gift Certificate tins at Michaels:

“Keep your eyes open….my Mike’s has them in green check, light blue check and light blue with white and yellow dasies. I saw them on the counter by the register. By the way….love the red tins!”

Uh oh!!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

I had lots of trouble uploading the first post this morning. The picture wouldn’t load until a few minutes ago and I have one more project I wanted to share with you all for Valentine’s Day. So you get three new things to see today! Hehe!

That tin is so cute. I taught first graders for thirty years; and I would have been thrilled to have received this Valentine. To think it matched the Valentines that Perrin gave out to his/her friends make it all that much more special. I loved home-made gifts as they come from the heart. I still have a trivet made of clothepins glued together in the shape of a Christmas tree and painted green that a student made for me. I have been retired for 14 years and that isn’t the only home-made gift I still have.
