I don’t drink coffee or tea, but I adore coffee and tea images! This Grande Teacup from justjohanna is no exception! I’ve had fun with it since I got it! All images are from justjohanna.

Card base is, ummm, I forgot! It’s Brocade Blue or Buckaroo Blue. I think? Note to self: Take better notes! *notes* Anyway, it’s blue and matches the patterned paper by Sassafras Lass called Stitches. I cut the card base at 4 1/4, and scored it at 5 1/2 to have a top folding card. Then cut the patterned paper to cover the bottom 2/3 of the card and adhered it to the card.

For the focal image, I stamped the Grande Teacup image in Palette Noir Black. Then to add some whimsy, I decided to stamp flowers coming out of the teacup. I used the Four Petal Flower image and stamped it, keeping in mind where I wanted the flowers to be. Something fun about the Four Petal Flower image is that there is also a Four Petal Shadow that matches it so you can do some “two step” stamping. For this card, however, I decided to simply color in the flowers.

To complete the flowers, I drew the simple stems and leaves. The images were then colored in with Prismacolors, using Gamsol and a blending stump. I added sparkle to the flowers with some Stickles, and covered the teacup with Crystal Effects. I used my Ticket Corner Punch on the focal image and completed it with some simple doodling around the edges to help ground it. Focal image was adhered to a matt of the mystery blue cardstock and orange mini brads from Queen and Company were added.

I tried a few ribbons out before I settled on the band of Pumpkin Pie. I used my SU! Slit Punch to create the big scallops and adhered it to the card. The focal image is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I’m so glad it’s Friday! Perrin started school this week (we are on the track system) and it was a little harder for all of us to get up this time. He had six weeks off! Yikes!! Fortunately, it’s a three day weekend for us. So I’m looking forward to shutting off my 6 AM alarm for the weekend!
