Happy Thanksgiving!

Published by at 9:25 pm under me

The turkey has been eaten, the dishes are all clean and most of the family have gone home. I now have a few moments to pop on and wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

There are many things I am thankful for, sometimes it seems like a daunting task to sit and think of everything you are thankful for. But once you’ve thought of a few, you start to realize how warming it is to think of your blessings.

I am thankful for my husband. He is hard working and a family man. Not afraind to get down on the floor and play with the boys. He shows his love for us freely, never leading us to doubt how much he cares for us.

I am thankful for my boys. They are a joy in my life, keeping me laughing thru the day and always quick to give snuggles and kisses. I know they try hard to do what we ask of them, and you really can’t ask any more of them.

I am thankful for my church, for the understanding it gives me our Saviour and for the love his gospel brings to us.

I am thankful for the parents I have and for my brother. I am thankful for my in-law’s and for my many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. They are not only our family, but our friends, those whom we enjoy spending time with.

I am thankful for my friends. Many of them I have met thru SCS, and they have become dear to me. I enjoy their friendship and have been fortunate to meet many of them. I joke that my friends are in the computer, and that is why I like to spend much of my free time chatting.

I am thankful for the sacrifice that is made by military families. For those serving, and for the families they leave to serve our country. We enjoy all of our freedoms because of these brave and stalwart people.

There are many, many more things I am thankful for. Some are too personal to share, while others are quite common. (such as cold medicine, as I have come down with a head cold this holiday)

I wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving! One full of the warmth of family and friends.

Good luck to those of you braving the stores tomorrow! I plan to rest at home, and maybe we’ll put the Christmas tree up. At any rate, I plan to enjoy some leftover turkey sandwiches along with more family time.

(((HUGS))) to you all!
