I love the set Mixed Bouquet! This is my favorite flower set to use, so I went straight for it to make these cards. I wanted to have more fun with the transparency overlays because I just love the look of them!

The card base is a Whisper White. To get the scallop, I simply used my scallop scissors around the three edges where the card is not folded. The next step was to stamp the images. I used Certainly Celery and Regal Rose. I simply stamped-off for the tone-on-tone effect inside the images. I then stamped the greeting from Sincere Salutations in Basic Black. I then used my Sakura Stardust pen to add sparkle to the card by tracing over the outlines of the flowers and leaves.

I really wanted to show off the scalloped edges, so I cut a piece of Certainly Celery cardstock and adhered it to the back of the front panel. Love the outcome!! I was really pleased with the look of simple elegance it added to the card!

The last stamping step was to use stamp some images on the transparency overlay. I chose the images I wanted to use and stamped them in White StazOn. When I do these cards, I score my transparency by lightly running the scoring blade on my Fiskars trimmer over it several times. I probably run it over about four times before I take it out to fold it and run the bone folder over the scored edge. This helps to keep my transparency laying flat over the card and so that I know where the front panel of the transparency is for me to stamp on.

Lastly, I folded the transparency over the card and secured it with some sheer green and white polka dot organdy ribbon by May Arts. These cards are addicting, I tell you! I love them! Hopefully I never run out of transparencies!

Absolutely beautiful card! I’ve recently discovered your blog and it is just fabulous! Definate eye candy with all the beautiful cards and cakes too! Yum!

Quick question for you on the transparency cards. I’m assuming the transparency covers the full front and back of the card? To secure the transparency, you are just tying it to the card securely with ribbon? TIA!
