Well, yesterday was National Card Making Day and I had no time to even make a card! However, I did have a lovely day with my boys. We started the day out by going to the pumpkin patch. My BIL David came with us since his wife, Katie, had to go to a Bridal Shower. I love having family close by! When Don told him we were going to the pumpkin patch he thought we were crazy for getting up early on a Saturday to go to where he thought we were going – you know, one of those portable pumpkin places that will later be the Christmas tree lot. But when we got to Live Oak Canyon, he realized it was a “real” pumpkin patch! Like, Linus would be camping out waiting for the Great Pumpkin kind of a patch!

We enjoyed the morning walking thru the pumpkin patch and taking pictures. I love to get pictures of my boys going thru the patch and picking their pumpkin! I also took the opportunity to get a decent picture taken for here and for my avatar at SCS. Owen tends to like the little cute pumpkins while Perrin likes to find a bigger pumpkin! After picking pumpkins, we took a ride on the tractor train. This is a yearly favorite of the boys! After the ride they were given the choice to either ride it again or go for a pony ride. Perrin picked the tractor train and Owen picked the pony ride. Don went with Perrin and I went with Owen. He was so cute! He was very excited to get the black pony with the red saddle ( his favorite color of the moment).

We concluded the trip by walking thru the pumpkin area (set up for those who don’t really want to go walk thru the pumpkin patch). I just love how different all the pumpkins are! There is such a variety and I couldn’t resist taking pictures! I also got a big white gord that I spied as we finished the tractor train ride. I love them in their natural finish and I will put this one in the backyard. Here are some pictures from our time at the pumpkin patch! Happy Fall!!
