ahhh, the joys of winter
So sorry it’s taken me so long to get back over here. We were bombarded with family, children who won’t sleep, and to top it off I know I am getting a sore throat! Thank goodness for the Cocoa Latte and the wassil recipe it comes with! It’s working like a charm for the throat scratchies.
Well, Don still hasn’t noticed the bird. We even put some ornaments on the tree yesterday and I was expecting him to spot it. Nope! But I do have a winner for the eleventh day of Christmas!
Eleventh Day of Christmas: Cris/avonlea, I love the name “Sugarplum”! I think it fits great! Email me your info for your goodies!!
Twelfth Day of Christmas: the magic number was four! Stephanie, email me your address for your goodies!
I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas holiday! We are looking forward to New Year’s Eve. We love to host family sleep overs, so several of my brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law will be joining us for yummy food, games, and New Year’s fun!
Whatever you do this New Year’s, I hope you stay safe and enjoy the turn of a new year!

Woooooo hoooooo! Thanks for your birdie contest! I’m glad you liked Sugarplum! And thanks for updating us on the “When will Don notice the bright pink birdie” challenge. 😉
Have a safe, happy & blessed New Year, Emily!

Oops! I ws so excited about being selected that I forgot to wish you better health…and a *healthy* new year, too! My tip for sore throats – gargle with warm, salty water like 3X/day; it’s to prevent against infection. If you have a dry throat, I’d suggest a teaspoon of (liquid) honey to coat and soothe it. Best of luck and make sure you take good care of yourself!
