This is my contribution for this week:

Don took this one night when I went to the grocery store and he was out in the backyard with the boys. They had been finding a lot of praying mantises that week. Owen loves bugs and isn’t afraid to pick them up and let them crawl all over. I was sad to miss it, and sad to see that most of the shots were blurry and out of focus, but some pictures you just can’t delete no matter how bad they are!

I love the way he’s looking up toward the praying mantis, and that the praying mantis is just totally hanging out on the top of his head! I think the camera ended up focusing on Owen’s glasses, since that’s the only part of the photo that looks clear. But the expression and composition are too good to toss this one away! 😉
