monday hello!

I made this card a few weeks ago for sketch challenge 162, but never got around to posting it. I really liked the simple layout and went for a Spring feel by using lots of white. I used a set clear stamp set for the focal image, but I can’t find the packaging right now to tell me who makes it. D’oh! The focal image was stamped on white, then matted in the light blue and adhered to the scallop matting. I wanted the bird to add some dimension, so I stamped it then punched it out and matted it in the same light blue before adhering it with some foam tape atop the branch. I really felt that it needed a greeting, so I stamped “hello” from the PaperTrey set, Paper Tray. The blue panel is very simple. I just used my ticket corner punch and added little rhinestones after adhering it to the card base. The strip of decorative paper is actually the flip side of the blue paper and is made by Chatter Box.

I hope you all have a nice day! I have an unusually busy week ahead of me. Both of the boys have field trips to zoos, with Perrin’s being tomorrow. We have to wake up at 6 a.m. to get him ready and to school by 7 a.m. to catch the bus. Yuck! Yuck! 😆

I just popped in to visit you tonight. I fell off my chair over this darling design, Pixie! You bowl me over, girl! {{{{{{{{Pixie}}}}}}}}}} I hope *everybody* at your house is fully mended soon. OK, that’s not soon enough. NOW. Yeah, that would be much better.
