sketch challenge

Published by at 1:22 am under sketch challenge

Hello! I have a fun challenge to share with you today. I’ve had this idea for a little while and I hope you’ll play along. I thought it would be fun to post a sketch challenge using a layout found in the current SU! catalog. It usually takes me a few times thru the catty to quit looking at the stamps and use it as an idea book. 😉

Here is the first one, found on page 17 of the current SU! catalog:

Here is my take on it:

Finished card size is 3 1/2 x 4 1/4

I didn’t have the dry embossing brass template, so I used my piercing template instead. You could also stamp tone on tone circles or do some “faux dry embossing” by punching out circles in the same color cardstock and then adhere them to the card base.

If you’d like to play along and upload to SCS, please put SUSS0801 in your keywords. (for SU! Spring/Summer 08, sketch challenge 01) I’d love to see your take on this cute layout! 🙂

As a side note, I’ve gotten some requests for the directions on how to make the reindeer candy bar covers and I wanted to let you know that I’m working on a tutorial to share. Hope you have a great day!
