So yesterday Don came home with this.

I gotta admit, it’s a very pretty computer! He’s been telling me that we’re due for a new one and he’s just been waiting for the next one to come out. This means some exciting stuff for us in the technology front in our home.

We’ll now have two computers, and both Macs. Goodbye clunky PC that he used to keep around. I grew up with Macs, so I’ve never been a PC fan. I remember when the Apple IIe was hot stuff! How old is that!? So I’m really happy with having two working Macs for us around here.

With the new addition, I’ll be moving our old iMac (the half dome) into my stamping room and the pretty one will be in the front room. So I have to work on reorganizing my stamp room to be suitable for the old iMac and the two printers. We got a treat when we went to get the new iMac yesterday. They were offering a $100 printer rebate so we picked up a Canon photo printer that will be free with the rebate! I’m so excited! I’ve been wanting a printer just for photos. It will make it easier to use all those fun digital shots. But there is more fun technology news for us that I hope to share after this weekend. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it goes thru!

Anyway, with all of yesterday’s geeky excitement I ended up throwing out my back! OUCH! This time it hurts! I suppose it also doesn’t help that we spent six hours last Saturday cleaning out our garage and my back was pretty tired from that. So I’m doing the little things I can to get my room ready for the move. Such as reorganizing my ribbon so it will fit in the cubby holes I have for storage. I’m looking forward to having a computer in my stamp room, it will make a few things easier for me. In the meantime I’m going to take it easy while the boys are in school today and tomorrow. When everything is all done I’ll take a picture of my stamping set up to share. I think it’s fun to see people’s stamping spaces, and with reoganizing stuff it will be fun to show the new set up.
