sweet peas

My Mom asked me to create a card for a co-worker’s wife who needed a twin boy baby card. Of course, the saying “two peas in a pod” came to my mind and I quickly remembered that I have a pea image in the Green Thumb set from PaperTrey.

I stamped the images with VersaMagic inks. For the sentiment, I stamped “sweet pea” then cleaned off the stamp, inked up only the “s” and stamped it after “Pea” to make it plural. I stamped two of the peas blue for the twin boys. The paper is from SU!, I forgot the name but it was in a Mini last year. Stickles were then added over the two blue peas.

I’m happy with how this turned out. It was quick and a cute alternative for a twin babies card.

Harry Potter Update: I’m about 100 pages from the end of the book! It’s killin’ me!! I was all set to tough it out and finish the book when Owen came to my room at 3:30 A.M. (oops!) while I was reading. It seems it may be his turn to be sick since he was burning up with a 102.6 temperature. Poor guy! So he’ll be going to the Dr. later today, and I’m certain I’ll be finishing the book up tonight!

I love this card! I have twin 7 month old boys and the “peas” theme is my favorite for them for some reason. All my showers were around it and I have been collecting scrapbook and card stuff with it as well. This is such a cute idea and I love that you added the “s”…now why didn’t I think of that before??? I have stayed away from a lot of things because it just said “Sweet Pea.” Silly me!

  3. Well Emily — you are way ahead of DH on HP. He’s only half way thru and he’s had two plane rides already this week to try and finish it!

Adorable card — love that little pea!
