dreams soar shaker

I love this hot air balloon image! I especially like how it’s big enough to fit some of the jj mix sentiments inside the balloon area. All images were stamped with Palette Noir Black ink.
Card base is Old Olive. I love this designer paper from Scenic Route. One side is the stripe and the other is the polka dots. I did some faux stitching to the stripes before adhering it to the card base, then set aside.
For the focal image I stamped the images on WW. I then stamped the hot air balloon on the polka dot side of the designer paper and paper pieced it to the WW panel. The little chicklet was also stamped on a scrap piece of WW, then cut out and adhered to the basket. All images were colored with Prismacolors using Gamsol and a blending stump.
I then prepared the frame from Chocolate Chip cardstock. I wanted to have the faux stitch look, but since it was for the cover of the shaker I didn’t want to pierce the cardstock. Instead I simply used a ruler to keep my lines straight and went around the edge of the frame with my white gel pen.
A transparency was then cut for the window and it was adhered to the frame with glue, then to the WW panel with foam tape. I poured in some micro beads and sealed the top to complete the shaker card. I placed the focal image at a little tilt to give it a fun look.
I can’t believe it’s already Thursday! Ack!
