birthday quickies – redo

Published by at 4:17 pm under cards, stamping

Over the weekend there were some technical problems at Splitcoast, causing the site to go down for several hours and making our SCS blogs unavailable until now. During the down time, all posts and comments made on Friday were deleted, so I’m reposting the quick birthday cards I shared on Friday.

This card uses more of the American Crafts paper I picked up at my local scrapbook store. It’s fabulous for cards, and I love the white stripe that is easily turned into faux ribbon. Stickles were added to the balloon and the chick.

This card was inspired by a sketch I made while browsing thru a Pottery Barn Kids catalog. I love this paper, and found coordinating buttons in my stash. I adhered the buttons to punched out white circles, then adhered those to the card. Something unique about this card is that it lifts up where the buttons are. The greeting is actually stamped on the inside of the card. As you can tell, I love this birthday sentiment! I especially love to color it in with Prismacolors to coordinate with my cards.
