circle owls

circleowls.jpgWhew! Still getting caught up from this weekend, but I wanted to stop by and share a fun card! All images by justjohanna.

I got the idea for this card from a sketch I made while looking thru a Pottery Barn Kids catalog.

Card base is Chocolate Chip. Matt layer is Old Olive. Focal image is WW.

I started by punching different sized circles out of Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Really Rust. I then used my Dotto removeable adhesive to place them as desired on the WW focal image layer. I then matted the focal layer on the Old Olive before running it thru my sewing machine using brown thread.

Next I stamped Big Al and Little Al using Palette Noir Black ink. I colored them in with Prismacolors, and they really do match the colors used better than how they photographed. I then stamped the sentiment in the upper right hand corner before adhering the whole panel to the Chocolate Chip card base.

I thought this would be a cute card from a Mom to her son. Awwwww!

I think it would be a cute card to send to a friend… or even someone you hardly know. Should I email you my address?

tee hee! I’m sure one of these days someone is gonna fall for my not-so-subtle (not exactly) joking about sending me one of their cards!
