Wii !!!!!!!

Published by at 11:15 am under me

Okay, so Don got a call from a co-worker on Saturday and was told that the he was at the gaming store he frequents and that they had a Wii in stock. So we got the boys in the van and took a little road trip to the store (almost an hour to get there, and about 45 minutes to get back).

We picked up the Wii and came back home. The boys were so excited that they got into a little bit of trouble because they couldn’t settle down. But once they realized that Daddy was working on getting it set up, they calmed down a bit and let Don finish. (Unfortunately, it didn’t help that Don kept getting phone calls from Honda dealerships – another story!)

We finally got it set up, and started exploring the system. We didn’t know about the Mii. I think that is about as fun as any game! You get to create a little Mii of yourself and this is your character for the games you play on the Wii. We made a Mii of our family and couldn’t stop giggling!

Later that evening two of Don’s brothers and their wives came over for a game night. We were planning on playing some board games, but started out with the Wii for a bit. We made a Mii for each of them and the boys showed them a few of the games that are on the Wii Sports that came with the system. We did play some board games after getting the boys in bed, then we were tempted to try out the one game we bought for the system. We picked up WarioWare Smooth Moves because we were told it was a fun game to have when you have people over.

That thing is hilarious! It is so random with bizarre mini games that you have to complete for each level. One in particular had me and my Sister-in-Law Katie falling off of the couch because we were laughing so hard! Seriously took us a good 15 minutes to calm down, it caught us so off guard!

Last night my brother came over, and he is now a Mii on our system, too. We had fun playing some of the games and I got a chance to play more than I did the night before. Wouldn’t you know it, my arm is sore today! How sad is that!?? And tomorrow we’re hoping to get Wii Play with even more sports games to play.

Ooooooooh no!! What have Wii done!??! Hahahahaha!

We got a Wii the day they were released (how lucky, eh???!!). The kids and DH absolutely love it. I haven’t had a chance to play much yet.

Another fun game is Ravin Rabbids… another that will make you laugh for sure!

My dad was one of the crazy ones that stood in line to get a Wii. (for the grandkids, he said, yay right!) My kids bug every day to go up and play. Which little game in the WarioWare had you in stitches? Did you pick the lady’s nose yet? ewwww! lol And how old are you? My kids love to do the fitness to see how old/young they are!

Emily – my daughter’s favorite thing with Wii is the Miis – I think we have around 40. I told her she needed to take a break from that and play some of the games. I didn’t tell her it was because I could no longer tell all her little friends apart like she expected me to!

Just watch out that your little ones don’t jab the tv while they’re boxing. We now have a scratch on ours cause Maggie got so excited. In her first boxing match, she won in the first round – the poor guy never got back up. If I didn’t dislike the sport so much, I’d sign her up IRL. Personally, I’m waiting for the Wii bowling league to start!

    Have fun!
